Lift It Like Lasso: Still time to make Santa’s “nice!” list!

One of the best episodes of Ted Lasso is the Christmas episode in Season 2. It doesn’t advance any of the story lines or deliver any truth bombs, at least not deliberately, and as some people have said, it’s a bit kitsch. But who cares? It’s Christmas!

My favorite story line in that episode is, of course, the one in which “elves” Rebecca and Ted are delivering Santa’s “accidentally delayed” gifts to some of the children in less fortunate circumstances than their own and, in the process, gifting significant cash to the buskers they encounter on their way and later enlist to surprise everyone at the Higgins’ home (if that’s a spoiler for you, go watch the series, man! You won’t be sorry =D).

I think what I like about it is that (kitsch though it may be) it is so consistent with the thread of lifting others up that runs throughout the whole of Ted Lasso. That kind of “lifting” is one of the layers of meaning to the title of our Lift It Like Lasso puzzle book series ~ the way Ted and the other characters in the series exhibit compassion, affection, humor and silliness, and acts of kindness, all of which, perhaps, seem a small and easy thing to those doing the giving but may actually loom large and lasting in the hearts and memories of those receiving these small gifts.

The Lift It Like Lasso Series

If you’re into depth and meaning and such small acts of kindness, here’s an opportunity for you to go, thou, and do likewise: Buy a copy of any or all of the puzzle books in our Lift It Like Lasso series for yourself or someone(s) on your gift lists.

Why? Because every book purchased between now and midnight (EST) 1/1/25 adds another $1 to our donation to Steps of Faith Foundation, the amazing charitable foundation working to provide the gift of care and prosthetics to amputees who wouldn’t otherwise have access to them. Read the full story here or about the origins of our desire to help (which is, in itself, a rather heartwarming tale of several such acts of kindness)  here.

Lift It Like Lasso puzzle books make great gifts for the Lasso lovers in your life ~ including yourself! And, by buying now, you’ll also help to give someone the gift of a return to mobility and a normal life.

And hey! What better way to get on Santa’s “nice!” list, yeah?

Barbecue sauce!

PS: Even if you don’t buy the any of our books, even you haven’t seen Ted Lasso (“scandal!” ;-)), please consider making a donation to Steps of Faith Foundation (stepsoffaithfoundation.org), anyway ~ helping give someone that boost (lift!) will definitely get you on your own “nice!” list! 😀
